MOTO MILESTONES

Sharing love, hope, and odd pizza.

We believe there’s no better way to share love, hope, and ideas than around food. During COVID, Lee Kindell, a passionate home pizza maker and former hostel owner, had been experimenting with different varieties for years when he discovered Detroit-style—a pizza that has everything. Flavor. Appearance. Taste. Texture. Temperature (FATTT). And BOOM—MOTO was born.

Our cheese-slinging started in a tiny house…

We started making pizzas full-time in a tiny, 500-square foot house that looks like the one from the movie “Up” just a few blocks from the bustling West Seattle Junction. Now, we’ve expanded to 5 locations—all in the name of bringing THE PIZZA TO THE PEOPLE.

Beehold, sustainability!

We love pleasing tummies and Mother Earth at the same time. At MOTO, 80% of our produce is either self-grown, foraged, or from hydroponic farms. And we source our own honey from our very own cozy little bee house.

My Oh Pie!

In 2023, we opened our T-Mobile Park location so we could bring the PIZZA TO THE PEOPLE AT THE BALLPARK. Because if there’s anything better than walking off with a MOTO pie, then seeing a walk-off we don’t want to know about it. We’re in ridiculously good company, with overall fare rated #1 in MLB stadium food by Thrillist.

Pie robots? Pie robots!

Following our initial 3-month waitlist, we sprinkled in a pie robot to get the PIZZA TO THE PEOPLE faster, utilizing an automated Picnic Pizza Station—which helps the toppings meet the dough and make the consistent deliciousness even more consistent.

Causing a racket at the BNP Paribas Open!

We recently expanded our cheese-filled footprint to the 2024 BNP Paribas Open. Thanks to Otis the Pizza Robot, we made 3000 pies a day and slayed the stadium!

Pies in the sky!

Next up: dropping pizzas to the people from the air, with PIZZA DRONE DELIVERY coming sooner than you think. Keep your eyes and mouth open!
